I have been doing neural therapy as segmental therapy for over 20 years. Neural therapy is used to help reduce muscle, nerve and joint pain and stimulate repair to the area. I have successfully used neural therapy to treat chronic pain from accidents, arthritis, bursitis, soft tissue injury or over-use injury.
The procedure involves subcutaneous injections of combinations of homeopathics, vitamins and sometimes local anesthetics. Subcutaneous means just under the skin, so the injection is not very deep. The smallest needle made, a 30 gauge, is used for the treatment. The number of drop sized injections administered depends on the size and location of the complaint. It could be up to a couple of dozen tiny injections.
Neural therapy is also used to treat scars. Injecting scars helps to:
Sometimes one treatment is sufficient to complete the job. Sometimes repeat injections are required. Treatment cost is based on the medication used and at the time of this writing averages around $50.00. I often combine neural therapy with another physical therapy modality like ultrasound or Scenar therapy.
