Naturopathic physicians are required to have a 4 year science degree, followed by 4 years of medical school. The education is much the same that of your family doctor with a focus on natural therapies.
My personal favorite type of natural therapy is European homeopathy; gentle therapy aimed at treating mind, body, spirit and emotions as part of a whole being . Having said that, there are many roads that lead to the same destination and many different treatment modalities that can lead you towards wellness. I also use a variety of other combination medicinal treatment tools, including personal lifestyle adjustments, vitamins, minerals and herbals depending on what works best for you, based on our consultation, my assessment, and some testing to determine which modality is most effective and compatible for you
Most importantly, I look at you as a unique individual and consider what is best for that individual. A lot of people, including myself, believe that I am intuitive. I consider intuition a learned application that comes through a combination of education, both medical and life experience and listening and caring about you and your path to wellness. When you come to see me, I will apply my intuition as well as all my other health care resources and assets, art and science, to help you towards being the best you can be.
I am interested in consulting with you, sick or well. In wellness we can work together in a proactive manner to maintain maximum health and wellness. When illness strikes, whether it is acute or chronic, I will work with you to help you overcome adversity and to restore your maximum wellness.
