Green Clinic Environment
Ever since I opened my first clinic location it has been a priority to have a “green premise”. I have been in my present location since 1993 and built the building around what was then a small fruit stand and what is now my intravenous treatment room. That original room now accommodates 4 recliner chairs with an additional 2500 square feet built onto it. Right from the start when the building was in the planning stages I researched the best possible, non-toxic building supplies and instructed the contractor to use those products whatever the cost. Our flooring is a flax based linoleum and our paint is the best available non-toxic product. I installed a high end air filtering furnace that clears dust, pollens and mould from the air. I change the air filters monthly. My cleaning staff uses only organic fragrance free cleaning products. We recycle everything we possibly can from cardboard and paper to plastics and glass.
Being in a rural setting, the original fruit stand came complete with a colony of spiders, who we have been on a successful 16 year mission to relocate to the great outdoors. Sometimes you might still see the odd one, but they are completely safe and will soon be removed by our fearless spider hunter. We have had some past problems with ants, but have solved the issue by using ant traps outside. With good management we have been able to completely avoid the use of any herbicides or pesticides since we moved into the building. We treat people with allergies and try to make our environment as comfortable and safe as possible for them.

We respectfully request when you attend our clinic that you refrain from wearing perfumes, or other scented personal products. If you are an allergy sufferer and you detect a fragrance in the clinic please understand that perhaps not everyone has seen this notice or forgot that they saw it or inadvertently wore a fragrance. Sometimes our delivery people smell like cigarettes, sometimes people arrive with pet hair on their clothes. We are doing our best to provide for the comfort (mental, physical and emotional) of all our clients, although there are times when situations are beyond our control.
